Cover a large baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Place the chocolate into a glass bowl and set over a pan of simmering water. Stir frequently until melted. Remove from the
heat.
Dip the apples into the melted chocolate, turning to coat completely.
Leave them plain as I did or roll in some Smarties or cake sprinkles then place on the baking tray. Repeat with remaining apples.
Allow apples to set at
room temperature until the chocolate is firm, about 20 minutes, before
serving.
